(in)sight, a portrait project
In 2017 I had the honor to make (in)sight a portrait project at Carroll University in Wisconsin. Loosely based on the Porem van Mokum project, we made a campus wide and campus involving portrait project. It ended in an amazing exhibition in a temporary exhibition room, a building site trailer. In 2022 we also finished the book about the project.
And then I was even lucky enough to take (a very small) part in firing an Anagame Kiln! An Anagame Kiln is based on a Japanese cave kiln and it is fired up to 1300 degrees celcius in a week’s time with a huge team to feed it. It was amazing to be part of this and the pieces that were fired in it are very special. Lucky me!
