Have your portrait made. I made dozens of portraits, of well known people and of unknown people, of grown-ups and children, even of people that are dearly missed. They have been bought by fathers and mothers, by husbands and wives, by art lovers and collectors. After half an hour to two hours of modeling for me (depending on the time you have, two hours is the max) sometimes I need more time to get it right. When this is so and we both agree on it, your portrait needs to dry, be colored, fired, glazed, fired and fired raku which will take about 6 weeks. The two hours of modeling will suffice to have a good start when you are modeling. A portrait only from pictures is a different process.
