About me…

I look around me and I see people. People in all kinds of colors, from different cultures, understanding eachother or misunderstanding eachother. Past a load of superficialities we call daily life one finds The Vast Stream of Love, Hate, Living and Dying. Here we are all much more alike than we seem to realise. This intrigues me enormously. I want to investigate this, show it, make it visible. My works are about the Vast Stream and that we’re all much more the same and connected than we’re used to thinking.

I milk sheep at a neighbouring biological farm and I am very interested in Permaculture. To be honest, I believe agriculture can save the world , if we are willing to reinvent it and to share instead of taking as much as we can as fast as we can. Braiding Sweetgrass is a beautiful book on this subject. I did a course in food forestery and I could not live without our connection and realisation of being part of nature, eachother and the universe. Naturally my works are a way of expressing this.

Furthermore I am very happy with my beloved Joost Lijbaart, musician, and our two kids. With two cats we live in Amsterdam, the rural north to be precise.
